Workout for Saturday, 1 August

Odd number of Marines showed up today - didn't get to participate. Will make up the WOD at home at Saturday morning family CrossFit with the following mods:

3 rounds for time, 30 minute cutoff:
Deadlift, 175#, 20 reps
DB Push Press, 45#, 15 reps
Farmer Carry, 400m, 25# plate
Toes to Bar, 20 reps
Manmakers, 45#, 10 reps

Will post time when complete.

1. Holy cow! Am completely impressed by the effort today. Great job.

2. Want to say thanks to Chad for stopping by mid-PCS. Chad - you've got a CF home for as long as you're here in J-ville.
3. Tomorrow I'm programming an easy 5K WOD. No morning WOD. Run on your own... Its a rest day for those athletes who worked out Monday - Wednesday. Friday will be a team event.

1. Good effort today. Enjoyed the head-to-head competition on the rowers. Did not enjoy my glutes locking up on the last 100m!

Workout for Monday, 13 July

1. I spent my entire weekend glued to my computer monitoring the progress of the 2009 CrossFit Games via twitter updates and CrossFit Radio streaming audio. I think I wore out the refresh button on my keyboard. What fierce competition, incredible athletes, and an awesome community! Am proud to be a part of CrossFit. Look forward to videos populating the main site and the Games site in the next days and weeks.

2. WOD:

We're going to do a chipper in honor of the last CrossFit Games WOD. Will reveal in the morning.

UPDATE - We executed:

95# squat clean, 15 reps
T2B, 30 reps
1 tire jumps, 30 reps
30# DB Push Press, 30 reps
Double Unders, 30 reps
95# thrusters, 15 reps
Pullups, 30 reps
Burpees, 30 reps
100 ft Walking Lunge, 25# overhead

I set a 20 minute time limit on the WOD. Only one athlete made it all the way through the chipper.

WOD:

With a continuously running clock do one pull-up the first minute, two pull-ups the second minute, three pull-ups the third minute... continuing as long as you are able.

Use as many sets each minute as needed. Scale as necessary with jumping pullups for a minimum of 10 minutes.
